Thousands, Millions,

"I will mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that." -- Martin Luther King Jr.

I am saddened by the public orgy of rejoicing.

Heartfelt feelings of the master of peace. Wonderful to read his words during this obscene drive for blood. -- barbara

What worries me more is all the undertones of fear of retaliation embedded in the media's news coverage. I worry we are one small, insignificant event away from having even more of our rights stripped away from us in the name of "national security."
